Introducing MicroPearl Trim and Purfling
In development now
for several months, I am very pleased to introduce
another innovation on my instruments—abalone edge
purfling with MicroPearl trim. Several months ago I
developed a new method of inlaying abalone purfling
around the edge of the headstock and the fretboard.
And then immediately I decided to do something that,
to my knowledge, had never been done. Thus was born
the idea for MicroPearl trim. This is essentially a
crisp line of abalone purfling around the headstock
and fretboard edges but with an even smaller line of
genuine Mother-of-Pearl framing the abalone.
I will continue to
offer my original abalone purfling of course, but
for an exclusive and elegant extra touch, please
have a look at the different configurations above.
Both of these inlay
options (MicroPearl and traditional) are available
immediately for nearly all my different fretboard
and headstock nut widths and styles.
